If there’s one thing that Toshiba do well, it’s crafting a great business laptop; with their Portege line of top-end professional machines, it seems like they’ve perfected the art form. Here at Techscheme, we’ve decided to take a look at a few of the range to see what they’re all about. If you get your Portege (or any tech) through Techscheme, you’ll be able to spread the cost while saving up to 12% of the RRP (recommended retail price) thanks to our benefits.
Toshiba Portege Z30-C-16P
The Z30-C is designed as a high-end, lightweight business laptop for those who might need to pick up and go at any moment. At 1.2KG it’s not the burden that many laptops can be on the daily commute. It’s set up to be easy to use while on the go, it has a crystal clear, glare-protected 13.3-inch display that shouldn’t be a bother even on the sunniest or darkest of days, while its battery life of 11 hours (minimum) means you won’t always be looking for a seat with a socket.
In terms of hardware it’s a real beast, and so should keep you future proofed for a good long while. The Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost 2.0 is super quick, and when coupled with 16GB of RAM, there’s no task it won’t achieve with ease. The Z30 has a 512GB SSD (solid state drive) which should be more than enough storage space for most, while it’s security features like the Trusted Platform Module (TPM), fingerprint reader and self-encrypted drives will keep all that information safe and secure.
The Toshiba Portege Z30-C-16P is a phenomenal business laptop all around and does exceptionally well on the go. At retail, it would justifiably cost you £2015 but at Techscheme we can save you up to £241 from that, and let you spread that cost. That’s value.
Toshiba Portege X20W-D-10V
Next up we’ve got the first of the X20-D range, the 10V. The convertible laptop has a screen that you can flip around, allowing you to use it as a laptop, large tablet or even a stable screen for demonstrations. It’s super light, weighing in at just over 1KG and is only 15.4mm thick, making it one of the most easily portable convertible business laptops on the market.
On top of all that there’s an intel Core i7 processor in there pushing out plenty of power, working in tandem with 8GB of Ram and a 512GB SSD. All that makes this one of the best convertible laptops around, and not just in the business section. That said, Toshiba’s inbuilt security measures including a fingerprint sensor and face authentication through the IR-camera mean it’s just that bit more secure for holding sensitive information.
The 10V is the perfect lightweight convertible laptop for business, it’s as comfortable on your lap as it is in your hand, crammed onto a train or on your desk. Techscheme can save you up to £230 off the RRP, meaning you could pick it up for as little as £1688.
Toshiba Portege X20W-D-10Q
Lastly, we’ll talk about the other X20W-D at Techscheme, the 10Q. Essentially, it’s just a lower cost version of the 10V. The sleek convertible design is identical, so on the face of it, there’s little to tell these machines apart. It has the same incredible battery life pushing up to 16 hours, the same impeccable 12.5-inch Full HD LED screen and everything else that we’ve previously mentioned.
Where the difference comes in is the hardware; it’s a little behind the 10V but that’s reflected in the price, and it’s not like the 10Q is any sort of slouch. There’s an i5 Processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD providing the power, which unless you like to have tons of programs running at once, shouldn’t make any difference to your experience. It’ll be a little less future-proof than its stable mate but this is hardly a budget machine, for convertible laptops, it’s still top end in terms of specs and performance.
The Portege X20W-D-10Q is a laptop for those who want a high-performing business laptop but don’t necessarily need the power of the 10V. Even so, Techscheme will save you money, allowing you to pick it up for up to £201 of savings.
Are these the ultimate business laptops? From what we can see there’s no reason not to think so, professional, powerful and premium you’d have to go a long way to find something better.
