Christmas is rapidly approaching and it’s time to really start thinking about what you’re going to get for the big tech-lover in your life. We’ve put together a few suggestions from our catalogue of Techscheme products to help. What’s more, all our products come with fantastic employee benefits which allow you to save money on cutting-edge tech.

We’ll start with laptops, the default choice for the person who likes to work or play on the go. We’ve opted to show off the newly updated MacBook from Apple. The upgraded slick laptop now comes in four colours, space grey, silver, gold and rose gold to add even more style to Apple’s already slick hardware.

With 8GB of RAM, a 512GB hard drive, new Intel Graphics HD 515 and the new 1.2GHz intel M5 Skylake processor, it’s a super powerful laptop. We’re talking about the top-end model here, but others are available with a little less power. It’s a great machine for work, gaming and artistic pursuits while its battery life of around 10 hours is fantastic in a laptop this powerful. It’s a great gift option for a Mac-lover and at Techscheme we can offer you savings of up to £185 on the beast, depending on your chosen model.

Of course, if your designated gift receiver would prefer something in a more Windows flavour then the Microsoft Surface Book is hard to ignore. It’s incredibly powerful for a laptop-tablet hybrid, and indeed for any laptop. It has a 2.4GHz Core i5 processor with 8GB of RAM and will service any need outside of hard-core gaming, but you’d need a real desktop for that. The awesome Microsoft laptop is available on Techscheme with a potential saving of £155.

Next up it’s tablets, and it’s hard to look past the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 in terms of sheer impressiveness. Like the Surface Book above, the Pro 4 is a hybrid, but one that veers more on to tablet territory in terms of look and feel.

At the bottom end of its price scale you’ve got a great tablet that can give the best iPads a run for their money, while at the top end, you’ve got a tablet so powerful that it genuinely competes with some high-end laptops. You’ll need the Pro 4 Type Cover keyboard accessory to use it like one properly though. Battery life is excellent, the power specifications are through the roof and the sensitive stylus it comes with allows for some real artistic expression. You can save up to £215 on it at Techscheme.

Apple fans won’t look further than the iPad Pro for their choice of tablet: it comes in two sizes – 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch, although the specs are the same. A powerful tablet that’ll run any app you want it to while being a little thinner and lighter than the Pro 4 above. It’s the best tablet Apple has and it’s hard to say no to that. You can also pick up the iPad Pro Pencil accessory, which is, without a doubt, the best stylus available outside of designated drawing tablets. The 9.7-inch model comes with savings of up to £87.

Then there’re mobile phones, and, of course, we have to start by talking about the brand new iPhone 7. Put simply, it’s the best mobile Apple has ever made, and it’s probably the best phone on the market right now.

The new A10 Fusion processor gives it a ton of power and speed, you’ll easily be able to run several apps at once and flip between them without delay. The improved Force Touch feature adds even more flexibility, allowing you to perform multiple actions with single button presses depending on the pressure of your touch. Then there’s the 12MP rear and 7MP front cameras that are easily some of the best picture-taking tech on cameras right now. The 256Gb version has a potential saving of £95 at Techscheme.

Of course, Android is the biggest selling operating system (OS) around, so if you’re looking for something on that OS the Samsung Galaxy S7 is one of the few that can compete with the iPhone 7. It has a slightly bigger screen, and an objectively better display, which will be important for those who like watching videos from their mobile. It’s also plenty powerful: you’ll have no trouble running apps and see no delay in flipping between several open programs. We can save you up to £68 on Samsung’s flagship mobile.

Not every tech gift has to be a big-ticket item and we’ve got several less expensive accessories that’ll delight a tech lover. Anyone with an iPhone or iPod would be happy to get the iPhone Lightning Dock, a handy stand that lets you charge and sync up your device to your laptop and iTunes that doesn’t cost the earth. In fact, at Techscheme we can even save you an extra £5.88 on the Lightning Dock.

Fitness fanatics would love to unwrap a Withings Pulse Ox fitness tracker on Christmas morning (or evening, we don’t judge). It tells you the time and the date while tracking data on your steps, calories, elevation, distance, heart rate and even your sleep cycles. We can save you up to £9.60 on one of the best low-cost wearables.

Lastly, something to protect your loved one’s gear. We have a whole range of Targus CityGear laptop bags, but the 10 to 14-inch Laptop Messenger satchel will do for most. It has a recommended retail price of £39 but at Techscheme, we can even save you money on that – £4.68 to be precise
